Dear Compatriots,

For the second time, I have the honour and priviledge to send you Goodwill message. This time, it is to rejoice and congratulate all of you on the occasion of the 44th Independence Anniversary.

As I  mentioned in my earlier Goodwill message, Nigerian economy is on the fast lane of growth as a result of a delibrate re-engineering of our polity and an enhanced private sector driven policies.

The Federal Government is taking a holistic approach in the task of relaunching Nigeria. Accordingly, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) are welcome to participate actively in the task of making Nigeria great again. In order to achieve this, the Federal Government has set up the Nigerian National Volunteer Service (NNVS) to work with NIDO and recruit experts in various fields of human endeavour and thus facilitate their services to the country.

I once again congratulate you for your resiliance, industry and professional expertise and urge all of you to constantly bear in mind that we have no other country except Nigeria. We must join our hands together and build a country we shall all be proud of.

May the good Lord bless all of you and give you the wherewithal to surport positively the economy/political growth of our country.

GOODWILL MESSAGE TO NIGERIANS IN UKRAINE,
FROM AMBASSADOR I. HEHAIRE AJURU, ON ASSUMPTION OF DUTY.

Dear Compatriots,

It is my honour and priviledge to inform all of you  that I have assumed duty as the Ambassador of our country in Ukraine with concurrrent accreditation to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

I therefore avail myself of this opportunity to all of you my right hand of fellowship and the goodwill message of Mr. President, Chief Olusegun OBASANJO GCFR.

As you may beaware, the Federal Government has initiated several policies aimed at re-engineering the economy and creating an enabling environment for both domestic and Foreign Direct Investment and economic growth. Appropiate legal framework for the protection of foreign investments and repatriation of legitimate profits has also been put in place, privatisation of key state Enterprises as well as a vigorious anti-corruption agenda is on-going and the promotion of transparency, accountability and due process has become a major state policy upon which our Democracy and Rule of Laws is thriving.

Nigerians in Diaspora are therefore encouraged to support the efforts of the Federal Government by taking advantage of the conducive enabling environment and economic opportunities now prevailing in the country.

The need to maintain at all times an acceptable good image and respect for ourselves and our country, need no emphasis.

On my part, I assure you of my determination to maintain and indeed improve on the existing cordial Relations between our country and Ukraine. I invite you to join me in the collective crusade to give our dear country an acceptable image that can earn us due honour and respect which we and our country deserve.
